The litter is made of Silica Gel, which you may be familiar with from other products like food wrappings, toothpaste, and cosmetics. Raw aloe plant latex can cause stomach upset in cats if eaten. Our product does not contain aloe latex, which can be irritating and has a bitter, onion-like odor—unlike the clean, botanical scent of the aloe inner gel. PrettyLitter uses safe, highly diluted botanical derivatives for fragrance only. Safety testing confirms no toxic risk from normal use.

PrettyLitter reacts to the pH of your cat's urine. When urine comes in contact with the litter, it can turn orange, green or blue. If there is noticeable blood present in the urine you will see red on the white litter. So, what do the PrettyLitter colors mean?Olive green to yellow: Indicates your cat's urine is within the typical range. Want to test this color? Tap water will have a similar pH and show green to yellow.Blue: Indicates urine is more alkaline than normal and may mean a urinary track infection, for example. Want to test your litter? Ammonia will have a similar pH and show blue.Orange: Indicates urine is more acidic than the normal range. This may mean bladder crystals or stones. Want to test this color?
