Your Cat's Wellbeing
Cats are notorious for hiding illness; it’s one of their survival
instincts that has helped them throughout time. However, the modern house
cat doesn’t need to hide illness and their secrecy around their health
makes it difficult to know when something isn't right.

PrettyLitter was created so cat parents can see signs of
potential illness in its early stages, making treatment easier on your cat
and saving owners money at the veterinarian’s office.
- Typical - Dark yellow / olive green indicates urine within a typical range.
- Orange - Acidity outside the average range, which may be a sign of metabolic acidosis or kidney tubular acidosis. Calcium oxalate crystals can be more likely to form in acidic urine.
- Blue / Dark Green - Alkalinity outside of the average range may be present if your cat has certain types of urinary tract infections. Highly alkaline urine can increase the risk of struvite crystal/stone formation.
- Red - Visible presence of blood, which may indicate Feline Lower Urinary Tract Disorder (FLUTD), bladder stones/crystals, kidney stones, bladder inflammation, certain types of kidney disease and clotting disorders.
Why PrettyLitter Changes colors
PrettyLitter’s crystals change color based on the pH on your cat’s urine, which can help identify early signs of many common urinary infections and bladder issues.
While some cats are prone to frequent urinary problems, others may only experience a few issues throughout their lives. PrettyLitter is made for these two instances and everything in between.
With its ability to help you monitor your cat’s health daily from the comfort of your home, it’s a great tool for your cat’s care.
